The origins

Now led by Pasquale Petti, Antonio Petti’s son and fourth generation of the family Petti, the Company was founded in 1973 when the Petti Group took over the Arrigoni Group production plant in Venturina Terme (LI) in Tuscany.
The company began working in the plant the tomato coming from the surrounding countryside and to package it as industry product in drums, which were sent after to the largest settlement of the Antonio Petti fu Pasquale S.p.A. in Nocera Superiore (SA).

The turning point

Gradually, the site of Venturina shade its skin, and developed a large production capacity that could provide directly with the finished product the Italian and the International customers, thus transforming a satellite company of the Group into a new company.

2006 is the turning point, when the Company grows in size, workforce and establishes a strong link and synergy with the agricultural part, the ASPORT (Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producers Toscani), thanks to huge investments in production. In the same year Pasquale Petti takes the reins strengthening its commercial structure, creating a marketing structure and consolidating its position nationally and internationally as a quality Private Label manufacturer.

“Petti – Il pomodoro al centro”

In 2013 the company decided to use its production capacity and the important Tuscan tomato dock to launch a high-quality line of canned tomatoes in Petti brand: “Petti – Il pomodoro al centro” (Tomato comes first).
The success of the brand project Petti only three years after its launch on the Italian market and its concrete prospects for development are a strong growth driver for the whole Italian Food S.p.A. business. The company has acquired strong credibility for the quality of its products, the innovation of its industrial processes and for the modern approach to market expansion.

The Company

Productive plant

Located in the industrial area of Venturina Terme in the province of Livorno, the plant covers an area of over 45,000 sq. m., of which 11,000 sq. m. are covered and used for the offices and the production.
The new warehouse has an area of over 40,000 sq. m. and a cutting-edge facility with computerized management.
The plant has different lines for the processing of the tomatoes.

Cans for peeled tomatoes, tomato pulp and concentrated tomato in sizes of 2,5 Kg and 4,5 Kg
Aseptic bags for sieved tomato passata and tomato pulps in sizes of 3 Kg, 5 Kg, 10 Kg and 20 Kg

Glass – bottles and jars – for sieved tomato passata, tomato pulp, peeled tomato, ketchup and concentrated tomato paste in sizes from 200g to 800g
Cans for tomato pulp, peeled tomatoes and concentrated tomato in sizes from 200g to 800g
Tetra Pak briks for sieved tomato passata and tomato juice in sizes of 500 g and 1000g
Tetra Recart briks for tomato pulp in sizes of 340g, 390g and 500g
Combibloc briks for sieved tomato passata and pulp in sizes from 200g to 500g
Tubes for concentrated tomato paste in sizes from 100g to 200g

The petti brand abroad

The brand Petti – Il pomodoro al centro is currently commercializd in a number of foreign large ecale distribution chains, in Countries like Germany, France, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, England, Croatia, Canada and Australia, all markets which are strongly oriented to quality and innovation.
